Mercredi 15 avril, Nouri, représentant du gouvernement iranien, a participé à la réunion des ministres de l’Agriculture de l’Organisation de coopération de Shanghai, tenue à Bichkek, à l’invitation du ministère de l’Agriculture du Kirghizistan. L’objectif de cette réunion était de renforcer la coopération régionale et d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire mondiale, en particulier dans le contexte de la guerre en Ukraine et de ses répercussions sur la sécurité alimentaire. Il a souligné la détermination de l’Iran à poursuivre des activités spécialisées au sein du Comité de l’agriculture et de la sécurité alimentaire de l’organisation et a mis en avant les opportunités de développement agricole au Kirghizistan, notamment grâce aux ressources hydriques abondantes du pays, offrant un potentiel favorable au développement de cultures extraterritoriales.

En marge de ce sommet, Nouri a évoqué la déclaration conjointe des ministres de l’Agriculture de l’Organisation de coopération de Shanghai, qui insistait sur l’extension de la coopération multilatérale dans les domaines agricole, scientifique et technologique. Les participants sont convenus de points tels que la promotion de l’agriculture intelligente, la gestion de l’eau, l’amélioration génétique et la production de semences, ainsi que la résolution des défis biologiques et le contrôle des maladies. Lors de la réunion, l’Iran a également mis l’accent sur la création de groupes de travail spécialisés, la mise en œuvre de projets conjoints, l’échange de délégations techniques et l’organisation d’expositions internationales afin de développer le commerce agricole.

Conclusion et perspectives d’avenir

Les déplacements régionaux de Nouri témoignent de l’engagement de l’Iran en faveur du slogan « coopération, développement et sécurité alimentaire » et reflètent sa volonté de tirer parti des opportunités régionales et internationales pour renforcer la sécurité alimentaire et développer le secteur agricole. L’Iran entend exploiter les ressources abondantes des pays voisins et de la région, appliquer des solutions scientifiques et technologiques innovantes à l’agriculture et, grâce à l’expansion de la coopération commerciale et scientifique, contribuer à un avenir durable et sûr pour le secteur agricole régional.

Le directeur de l’Institut de recherche sur l’amélioration et la production des semences et des plants a annoncé l’introduction de deux nouvelles variétés de blé et de deux nouvelles variétés de sorgho fourrager résistantes aux conditions environnementales défavorables afin d’améliorer la sécurité alimentaire.

Lors de la 116e réunion du Comité d’introduction des variétés de l’Institut de recherche sur l’enregistrement et la certification des semences et des plants, Mohammad Zamanian, évoquant l’objectif d’accroître la production et la résistance aux conditions environnementales défavorables, a estimé que l’introduction de ces variétés constituait une étape importante pour le renforcement de la sécurité alimentaire du pays. Il a ajouté : « Les chercheurs de cet institut ont introduit deux variétés de blé, « Afrooz » et « Mahloji », ainsi que deux variétés de sorgho fourrager, « Dana » et « Roya ».» Le directeur de l'Institut de recherche sur l'amélioration et la production des semences et des plants a déclaré : « Les variétés de blé sont adaptées au climat tempéré du pays. Leurs principales caractéristiques sont un rendement élevé et une résistance à la rouille jaune et brune. Ces caractéristiques leur permettent d'être performantes dans différentes conditions climatiques et contribuent à accroître la production de blé du pays.» Il a également déclaré à propos des variétés de sorgho : « Ces variétés sont à double usage et conviennent à la production de fourrage et de céréales

Selon lui, un rendement élevé, une tolérance à la salinité, une grande efficacité d'utilisation de l'eau, une période de maturité moyenne avec une forte capacité de verdissement et une résistance à la pourriture sont parmi les principales caractéristiques de ces variétés.

Il a précisé : « Ces caractéristiques font des sorghos « Dana » et « Roya » une option idéale pour la production de fourrage de qualité, résistant aux conditions environnementales défavorables. »

The 38th gathering for the appreciation of 6400 farmers and 146 prominent food security proponents took place on Saturday morning 18th of January (29 / Day / 1403) within the Tehran special summit building.

Within this gathering which was accompanied by the current Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian and the Minister of Agricultural Dr Nouri Ghezeljeh , many deputies from across the agricultural department as well as 146 prominent food security proponents also attended the meeting to celebrate this event.

The purpose of this event, as the name suggests, was to appreciate the exemplary farmers across the country and thus, to publicly broadcast this event, many agricultural journalists across different departments also attended the event to gather and produce news and report regarding this event.

For the opening statement of the event, the current president, Masoud Pezeshkian begins by asserting that the farmers are some of the most important assets of the country and further explained that every change requires one to reflect on their “Yes I can” attitude where the belief of “Yes I can” is the pivot point that the development and progress is stemmed from. He believes that by improving and reflecting on this attitude many issues of the country, including the current agricultural problems, ought to be resolved.

Mr. President by referring to a motivational concept that “if it has been done by others, we also can do it as well” elaborates that by understanding and reflecting on this concept our consciousness awakens, and this is where an individual is truly motivated and can overtakes the obstacles of their lives. He also further explained that when we recognize our insecurities and are under pressure to complete our lives from incompleteness it is when we begin to study, experiment and investigate. This is the point where the individuals can tackle the problems on their path.

Mr. President by referring to the issues and pressure that is facing the individuals who hold managerial positions within the government as well as ordinary people explained, I, myself, am from an ordinary Iranian family where my father was working as a normal office employee and I as well as my friends were working in farmlands. But we always believed that our town is the best in the region.

Another attendee of the summit, Dr Nouri Qazaljah, the Minister of Agricultural (Jihad) began his speech by asserting that the agricultural department is one of the most people-oriented organizations within the government and explained that the most important and vital duty of this organization is to maintain the current standard of food security within the country and this duty proven to be very difficult to conduct. He further elaborated that although it has proven to be very difficult, it is believed that, referring to the current standard of food security, this aim is again obtainable.

Dr. Nouri Ghezeljeh, quoting the challenges such as drought, lack of natural water sources and climate change which are often faced by the farmers within the agriculture sector, explained, that agriculture in Iran ought to be based on employing advancement in technology and adhering to the latest agricultural research. He asserted that the farmland that has undertaken the abovementioned strategy has produced much better results in their cultivation.

Dr. Nouri Ghezeljeh, regarding the private sector in the field of agriculture, explained that they are an important entity in the field and the organization is ready to support them further by providing them with better access to the necessary licenses and officially recognizing their activities. He further explained that currently the private sector is referring to academic and practical research and is focusing on further developing the concept of artificial intelligence in the field of agriculture. He asserted that these are such constructive work, and the organization are aiming to support and value them further.

Dr Nouri Ghezeljeh then regarding the hard work of the current government in the field of agriculture mentioned, I personally would like to thank President Masoud Pezeshkian for guiding and motivating his government to provide such great support to the agricultural sector.

In regard to this gathering, it is believed that Mohammad Mehdi Gasemi, the deputy of the TAT organization, has explained that, for the screening procedure, initially 64,000 farmers were selected and during the second stage this number was increased to 79,000 in which 1,800 of them at the regional stage where appreciated.

He further explained the importance of technology in the field of agriculture and mentioned that technological development is vital for agriculture to meet the needs of the country. He further elaborated that the appreciation ceremony which has been conducted above was vital and that this was a great event that needs to happen again in the future.

The seventh media tour in regard to the effort of private sector to resolve the issue of energy shortage was taken place on 1st of Esfand with the participation of agricultural journalists.

As previously covered in an earlier report, (https://shorturl.at/9aOyC), the leader in fulfilling the tasks of the land affairs organization to serve farmers and people) in connection with the media tours of the land affairs organization and the assigned tasks of this organization in resolving land conflicts, development and integration of lands, demarcation and issuance of documents for agriculture.

With a group of specialized journalists from the agricultural sector, we went to the central province and first of all to the city of Zarandiyeh, to take a close look at the land assignment projects for the construction of renewable solar energy plants that have been entrusted to the private sector in the form of one to 15-year lease contracts. Lease contracts with 80% discount and can be extended until the power plant is operated in the constructed lands.

In this trip, first, the solar farm of Kaveh Crystal and Glass Industrial Group called "Kaveh Methanol" project was visited in Zarandieh city. The CEO of Kaveh Glass Industrial Group said that although it was initially said that the installation of solar panels is not suitable for the central province and the candidate provinces for this implementation are Kerman and Yazd.

Regarding the progress of the project, he said that in less than 5 months, we were able to make more than 58% physical progress, and in fact, since the delivery of the land and in less than 8 months, we have put 150 megawatts of electricity into the circuit; About 30 megawatts until the end of the year or the middle of April 1404 and the rest is 120 megawatts until the middle of the next year.

He spoke about the investment of 40 million dollars to install 178 thousand pieces of 700 watt panels on 180 hectares of assigned land and said that it is going to produce 150 megawatts of electricity per hour, of which 120 megawatts will supply the electricity needed by the industrial towns of Zarandieh city, and 30 megawatts will be for household consumption in this city, and 24 thousand families will use solar electricity.

The second plan was to visit a hydroponic strawberry greenhouse that had converted 6,400 square meters of land and the average yield of this greenhouse will be between 30 and 35 tons of strawberries. The water consumption of this greenhouse is 4,000 liters, which is circulated and recycled.

The third project was about changing the land use of 55 hectares to build a cattle farm with a daily production of 175 to 180 tons of milk. "Dam Dasht" livestock unit has 9,500 cows, of which 4,000 are lactating. "Abolfazl Kamyab", the CEO and "Hamid Allah Verdi", the deputy CEO of the powerful group "Dam Dasht", which was established in 1365 and continued with management changes in 1397, now with 400 personnel, is one of the honors of Central Province in helping to ensure the food security of the country.

In a press conference related to this media tour, Mehdi Sarkhosh, the director general of the land transfer and development office of the country's land affairs organization, stated that the central and southern provinces of the country are the leaders in setting up solar power plants, and said: It was approved to transfer nearly 10,500 hectares of land for the construction of a solar power plant this year, which was the amount of all the lands transferred during the previous years.

Stating that the lands of the exceptions are personal, he said: 123 permits for change of use were issued in 1403, of which 94 permits were for agricultural projects in the amount of 146 hectares and 29 projects in 15 hectares were assigned to non-agricultural industries, and we tried to allocate 90% of the land to agricultural projects.

He said that the monitoring of the change of use and transfer of lands has been outsourced, and he added that the transferred lands can be transferred before 26.05.2013 but cannot be transferred after this date.

He mentioned the installation of solar panels to create renewable solar energy for the use of wells and agricultural fields and added that no project is done without asking the environment and there is an evaluation item that each applicant for the construction of a power plant should create between 10 and 25 percent of green space.

Referring to the crops grown in the central province, he said that this year we set a record in wheat production and 500,000 tons of products were delivered to the silos, while this number was 350,000 tons last year. Also, this province ranks first in ornamental fish breeding and second in pomegranate production in the country.

Ekhlasi said: 35,000 hectares of national lands were handed over in Central Province after the revolution, and in this regard, 2,600 cases of handing over and 8,500 hectares were allocated to agriculture, including livestock, poultry, aquaculture and transformation industries, and 12,000 hectares were allocated to agriculture, gardens and agricultural plans of seven-member delegations. He remembered that 4,000 hectares out of 12,000 hectares of garden land has been cultivated under pistachio.

In this press conference, Rahim Mahmoudi, director of Zarandiyeh Agricultural Jihad, and Alireza Tahmasabi, director of Saveh Agricultural Jihad, also gave good explanations to the journalists about the agricultural products of the subordinate cities and the country's status of these products.

From the famous Saveh pomegranate to about 4,000 hectares of barren land under pistachio cultivation and a record of 500,000 tons of wheat, which was 350,000 tons last year. Also, this province ranks first in breeding ornamental fish, second in pomegranate production, and one of Iran's pistachio production hubs, which ranks sixth in the country in exports.

It should be mentioned that the central province has 12 cities and 2.9 million hectares of the provincial level, of which 2 million hectares are national and 900 thousand hectares are cities and villages, excluding agricultural lands.

The director of the wheat production has explained that as of now 390.000 tons of modified seeds has been produced and distributed amongst the farmers. He further explained that the correct fertilizers for the mass cultivation of these seeds have also been produced and are expected to be distributed in due course.

Mr. Sohrab Sohrabi, who holds the above-mentioned governmental position asserted that currently the active wheat farms within the country is measured at 310 thousand hectares in which they are divided into two 160 million hectares of wet and 150 million of dry wheat farms.

Mr. Sohrabi further elaborated that the concept of self-reliance in the filed of wheat production is on the 7th Five-Year agricultural development program agenda and it is believed that with the help of the experts in the field, careful and correct planning and fully adhering to the agricultural standards this aim shall be successfully achieved.

Mr. Sohrabi explained that with the possibility of lack of rainfall and increase in the temperature, the accumulation of pest in the farmland is expected and regarding this problem he suggested that the farmers to follow the pest and disease control protocol in the farmland to prevent this issue.

In regards to the issue of pest in the wheat farmland, the advisor to the minister of agricultural jihad explained although this problem is occurring at the moment, since it is in a very small scale, it does not have an impact. Nevertheless, should the weather get unexpectedly warmer than usual, this can actually become a major problem.

He therefore suggested that should the unexpected occurred the farmers shall follow the pest and disease control protocol to prevent the spread of harm to the farmlands.
